Probability

Conditional probability:

0 < P(A) < 1
They assign a probability of zero to the experiments that cannot occur, & a probability of one to the events that are positive.
The complement of an event
The complement of an experiments A, denoted by
is the set of all the outcomes that are not in A.
S = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} A = {1, 2}

A= {3, 4, 5,6}

From before, they can see that

P(A) = 1 – P(A) law of complement
